Australia vs England

Australia managed to defeat England in their Super Six match, with captain Hugh Weibgen scoring a century and leading his team to a total of 266. England were chasing a target of 266 when rain hit, causing a delay of over two hours. When they resumed, they were given a revised target of 215 runs in 24 overs.

 However, they lost their remaining seven wickets for just 44 runs and were bowled out for 104, losing the match by 110 runs.

Afghanistan vs USA

Afghanistan also secured a playoff spot for 16th place by defeating the USA in a low-scoring match. The USA got off to a decent start with an opening partnership of 49, but they lost wickets quickly and only managed to post a total of 148. Afghanistan’s bowlers were in top form, taking all ten wickets.

Afghanistan also struggled initially, but captain Naseer Khan Maroofkhil and Arab Gul Momund’s partnership of 47 runs for the eighth wicket helped them secure a three-wicket victory.

Bangladesh vs Nepal

Bangladesh easily chased down Nepal’s total of 170 with about 25 overs remaining in their Group 2 match. Offspinner Shaikh Parvez Jibon and medium pacer Rohonat Doullah Borson were instrumental in keeping Nepal’s innings to a manageable total. Bangladesh’s Jishan Alam and Ariful Islam scored half-centuries and helped their team win by five wickets.

Zimbabwe vs South Africa

The match between Zimbabwe and South Africa was the most one-sided match of the day, with South Africa winning by nine wickets with nearly 37 overs remaining. Zimbabwe were bowled out for just 102 runs, with left-arm bowler Kwena Maphaka taking has five wickets.

South Africa’s Lhuan-dre Pretorius scored an unbeaten half-century as his team cruised to victory.
